At Lower Burston
we like to offer a relaxed and friendly
holiday environment which is especially geared towards children
enjoying interacting with animals. We have lambs being born
during March/April and the two sows give birth to piglets twice
a year. Riding lessons are available and we have a delighful
miniature shetland who loves to take the smaller children for
rides around the farm.
For those who would like to bring their own horses on holiday
with them, we have stabling and grass turnout, an indoor and
outdoor school and small cross country course. We also offer
Natural horsemanship lessons, clinics and Equine facilitated
healing see
www.thepainfreehorse.co.uk for details.
Along the river and throughout the woodland there are many
picnic places where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful
environment.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead when walking through
the sheep fields.
An excellent shop is within five minutes walk, which has long
opening hours including Saturdays and Sundays. There are two
public houses in Bow and one in close by Zeal Monachorum which
has a children's play area and indoor swimming pool. Several
more extremely good restaurants can be found locally.
